1. Who are we and what do we offer?
We are Letswork.com B.V. (Letswork). Letswork offers an online platform, available at www.letswork.com (Platform). Our Platform enables users to create, export, and optimise CVs and cover letters, manage CVs of friends and family, link and verify references, share digital profiles, and receive AI-driven tips with optional features including a job board, job matching, communication tracking with recruiters, file management, data reports, and career discovery insights.
The Platform is available through our Website: www.letswork.com. The Platform and our Website are collectively called our Services.
2. Privacy Policy
This is our Privacy Policy. In this document we explain what types of Personal Data we collect via our Services. We also explain what role we have in the processing of Personal Data, how long we retain them and what rights you have as a user of our Services.
3. Personal Data and Controller
We process Personal Data. Personal Data means all information by which a person can be directly or indirectly identified. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we are the so-called Controller of your Personal Data. If you have questions about the processing of your Personal Data, you can always contact us through the contact details listed at the bottom of this Privacy Policy.
4. What Personal Data do we process as Controller?
As Controller, we may process your Personal Data in different contexts.
We may Process your Personal Data when you are a User of our Services. With respect to our Platform, we differentiate two types of Users:
- Professionals who create and share CVs; and
- Representatives of our business clients who use our Platform to get in contact with Professionals.
Please note that if you are a Professional uploading your CV, it is your responsibility that you have obtained consent for the use of Personal Data of others (e.g., names and contact details of references).
We may also process your Personal Data if you apply for a job at Letswork.com as a Job Applicant.
If you are a Professional, we may process the following Personal Data:

- Older versions of your CV (stored in the ‘history’ within your account). | We use this information to: - Include it in your personal dashboard for your own personal use (such as: managing, downloading, and adjusting your CV); - Enable you to share your CV with other Users on the Platform through a QR code or direct link to the CV, including your contact details; - Enable you to share your CV outside the Platform such as social media channels or search engines; - Generate personal recommendations about content to add to your CV; - Generate matches of your CV and profile with vacancies; - Use snippets of your CV as examples for other Professionals; and - Anonymise your Personal Data to monitor and predict workforce trends, career development and potential vacancy matches. Please note: if you upload information that can be directly or indirectly traced back to you (such as specific work history or details in comments), this information may reveal your identity even when your contact details are not included in your CV. As a result, this information will be regarded Personal Data. Please keep this in mind when uploading information on the Platform and choosing to share information with others. | We may process these Personal Data in order to perform our contract (i.e. provide our Services) with you. If you have given your consent to that end, we will: - Publish your CV on the Platform; - Publish your CV outside of our Platform; - Match your CV and profile with vacancies and propose these to you; - Propose your CV to Representatives; and - Show small snippets of your CV as suggestions to other Professionals. If you choose not to publish your CV, the QR code on your CV or direct link will not work. In such a case, we have a legitimate interest to contact you if someone uses the QR code and link and likes to access your CV. If an issue is detected in the CV and you choose to share diagnostic data, we process the following personal data: the content of the CV, technical error messages, and so-called “error breadcrumbs” (event logs leading up to the error). The content of the CV is processed solely on the basis of explicit consent for the purpose of analysing and resolving the reported technical issue. The data is retained for a maximum of one month via our processor, Sentry, and is automatically deleted thereafter. Finally, we may also process your Personal Data because we have a legitimate interest to do research on market trends and improve our Services. We will only process your special Personal Data (such as disabilities or political activities included in your CV), if we have your explicit consent. Please note: if you include Personal Data of others in a CV, it is your responsibility to ask that person for consent. |
If you are Representative of our business clients, we may process the following Personal Data:

Please note: Information related to the company itself may qualify as Personal Data in some circumstances, for example if the company is a sole trader.
Additionally, all Personal Data exchanged directly between Representatives of business clients and Professionals outside the Platform will be processed in accordance with the privacy policy of the business client.

5. Mandatory information
When you engage with our Services, it may be legally or contractually required that you provide us with certain Personal Data. For example, information regarding your identity. Where you do not provide us with such information, it may be the case that we are not able to provide our Services to you.
6. Cookies and other tracking techniques
We may use functional, tracking and/or analytical cookies on our Website. A cookie is a simple small text file that can be stored in your device when visiting the Website. This text file identifies your browser and/or device. When visiting our Website again, the cookie ensures that your browser/device is recognised.

7. How long do we keep the Personal Data?
We will not process or store any Personal Data that we do not need. We store Personal Data for as long as we need it for the above purposes unless we are legally obliged to retain the Personal Data for a longer period. In this respect, we apply the following retention periods:
- Personal Data of all Users | For Personal Data relating to Users, we maintain the following policy:
- When you create a temporary guest account | Your guest account data will be deleted 30 days after your last activity.
- When you delete your account | Your account data will be deleted within 30 days after you deactivate your account or delete the Personal Data from your account (for example, when you delete a CV you have created, we will retain it for 30 days).
- When your account is inactive | If you have not accessed the Platform for seven years, we will send you an email informing you that your account is inactive. If you do not access your account within 2 months, the account will be permanently deleted.
- Financial information | Personal Data in our financial administration that we keep for tax purposes will be retained for a maximum period of 7 years.
- Newsletters | We retain the Personal Data used for sending newsletters until you unsubscribe from our newsletter.
- Personal Data in our correspondence | The Personal Data will be retained as long as necessary to handle your message and one year thereafter in order to improve our Services we provide to our Users.
- Personal Data of Job Applicants | We store this Personal Data for a maximum of one year after the application process, with your consent.
- Other information | Other Personal Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we processed it.
After expiry of the retention period, we may process and retain certain Personal Data to comply with legal retention obligations and/or for fraud/misuse investigations or to substantiate a (judicial) claim. In such events, we will retain the Personal Data separately and only use such Personal Data for the aforementioned purposes.
8. Do we share your Personal Data with others?
Processors: We use third parties (Processors) who support us in providing our Services. Within this context these Processors receive Personal Data from us which they process at our instructions. For instance, we use Processors for our CRM system, building and maintaining our Services, analysing the use of our Services, sending marketing emails, and managing our invoicing process.
These Processors may only use or disclose the Personal Data collected and processed by us within the scope of our instructions to them and under no circumstances for other purposes. We enter into a data processing agreement with all of our Processors.
Controllers: In addition, some of the Personal Data may be processed by other controllers, for instance:
- We share financial information with payment service providers (Stripe) in order to process such payments. Find out more on what Personal Data they process for financial purposes here;
- We share (parts of) our financial administration with the national tax authority, if we are legally obliged to do so;
- We may share your contact details, CV and other information as described in the controller section with the Representative of the company if you apply for a job
Any Personal Data provided to these Controllers will be processed in accordance with their own privacy notices.
Apart from the above, we will not share your Personal Data with third parties, unless we are legally obliged to do so.
9. Sharing of Personal Data outside the European Union
We may share Personal Data with parties outside the European Union, if one of our Processors or Controllers is established outside the European Union. The Personal Data will only be shared with countries and/or parties that provide an adequate level of protection in accordance with European standards. Please contact us if you wish to receive more information or a copy of the safeguards we take in this scope where necessary.
10. Changes to the Privacy Policy
Please check our Privacy Policy frequently as we may change it from time to time Any amendments to our Privacy Policy will be effective immediately upon posting it on our Website. If we make significant changes to our Privacy Policy, we will mention those changes separately on our Website.
11. Your rights as a user of our Services and our contact data
As a User of our Services, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

Obtain confirmation as to whether or not your personal data are being processed by us, and, if that is the case, access to the (categories of) personal data and information about our processing activities and a copy of your personal data. - Restriction of processing
Obtain restriction of processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. In such case, we may still store your personal data, but our use of your personal data for certain purposes will be restricted. - Rectification
Obtain rectification of any inaccurate personal data concerning you. You also have right to have incomplete personal data concerning you completed. - Data portability
Receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another controller or have us do that for you under certain circumstances. - Erasure
Obtain the erasure of your personal data under certain circumstances, for example if the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed. - Object
Object to our processing of your personal data based on (among others) legitimate interest under certain circumstances. You may always object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
You are always entitled to file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that we are not processing your Personal Data in accordance with the GDPR. You can find your supervisory authority here. In the Netherlands where Letswork is located, the supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
